How To Use Jet Water Cleaning System
A. Routine maintenance (15 minutes)
- Turn off all external appliances such as hung-on filter, water heater, etc
- Start to siphon out water (use a siphon tube with a hand pump available at pet shops) from the tank bottom through the Water Draining Tube B
- Flush tap water through the Water Flushing Tube A (connect a water hose) while siphoning out water. This action pushes debris toward the Tube B. Rotate the Tube A 90 degrees to wash the entire tank bottom.
- Stop flushing tap water, and continue to drain water using the siphon action until the water level is 2/3 full.
- Fill the tank with tap water through Tube A, and add tap water conditioner.
- Turn on all exterior appliances
B. Total cleaning of whole tank (30-60 minutes)
- Remove fish, but leave all ornaments and live plants.
- Siphon out water completely (use a siphon tube with a hand pump available at pet shops) from the tank bottom through the Water Draining Tube B.
- Flush tap water vigorously over gravel while siphoning out water.
- Fill the tank with tap water.
- Siphon out water again. (Repeat several times until drained water becomes clean)
- Fill the tank with tap water, and then add tap water conditioner.
- Turn on all appliances.
